INFOS DE L'ÉVÉNEMENT

Saturday, April 10, 1734, 7 p.m. It's time for the changing of the guard.

Suddenly, a terrifying scream is heard.

Was the rumor true? The trial archives allow us to doubt it, Angélique did not run away. She stayed behind to help her mistress while her lover fled. Arrested and thrown in prison, Angélique proclaims her innocence loud and clear. Is she? If so, who is guilty? Or would it be an accident?

FOGO relates the trial of slave Marie-Josèphe Angélique.
